A police sergeant who rushed to the help of a partner that was assaulted by a knife attacker has been awarded the King's Commendation for Courage.

Sgt Tim Ansell struggled against twenty-seven-year-old Jacob Brown subsequent to he placed a knife to the neck of his fellow officer Sgt Marc Foster.
